Desde que nos dijeron que podíamos
mandarles una carta nuestras emociones explotaron, era algo como “¿Qué? ¿Es
enserio?”
No sabemos cómo pero de repente
nuestras mentes se quedaron en blanco, siempre tenemos mucho que decirles pero
al saber que podían hacerles llegar estos sentimientos todo se quedó guardado
bajo llave, en un baúl de la madera más hermosa, tallada con el nombre de la
banda y de cada uno de ustedes… Suena muy cursi ¿No creen? Y realmente lo es, y
es que… Ustedes nos ponen de esta manera.
Quizá no sea necesario que lo sepan,
pero decidimos ponerlo y es que, escribir esto nos ha costado, realmente las
palabras no venían a nosotros, “¿Cómo escribirles todo lo que sentimos? ¿Cómo
dirigirnos a ellos? ¿Qué sería necesario poner para transmitir lo que
queremos?” Pensamientos como esos nos venían a la mente y los nervios no nos
ayudaban mucho. Después de horas de estar pensando, de comernos las uñas por
los nervios y la emoción ha quedado este resultado.
Esperamos que con esta carta puedan
comprender un poco de nuestros sentimientos hacia ustedes. Esperando que nada
de lo que sea escrito les ofenda, les haga sentir incómodos o les haga
bostezar, disfruten por favor:
Antes que nada queremos decir que
probablemente todo lo que haya en esta carta apenas pueda expresar un poco de
lo que son nuestros sentimientos y gratitud hacia L’Arc en Ciel. Como fans,
hemos experimentado cientos de emociones con ustedes y sus canciones, sentimientos
que quizá no puedan ser transmitidas en palabras por completo.
Estamos plenamente agradecidos por
estos 25 maravillosos años de carrera donde nos han regalado la oportunidad de
que sus canciones nos acompañasen en diversos momentos de nuestras vidas; felices,
tristes, difíciles o de emoción. Pero no solo por la música, sino también por
cada live, cada pv, cada entrevista, cada sesión de fotos… apreciamos cada
segundo que dedican.
Quizá solo los fans lo podremos
entender, pero cuando los vemos juntos, la emoción y felicidad que sentimos es
inmensa. Y tal vez ustedes se den cuenta cuando ven los ojos llorosos de sus
fans, cuando ven desde el escenario como brincan y cantan hasta quedar
afónicos, como sonríen de oreja a oreja hasta el grado de que parezcan estatuas
por la permanente sonrisa. Tal vez se den cuenta al leer mensajes de
agradecimiento y por la rápida respuesta al tener noticias suyas, sea lo que
sea, al llenar los recintos donde se presentan y escuchar miles de gritos, sin
parar.
Una vez, hyde dijo: “L’Arc~en~Ciel
es el sueño de todos.”
Y absolutamente lo es.
Para nosotros L’Arc en Ciel es como
una familia, y verlos juntos es sentir que la familia está reunida nuevamente. Creemos
que la mejor forma de describir nuestra sensación al escucharlos es la misma
que uno siente al estar enamorado; ese cosquilleo en el estómago mezclado con
nervios cada vez que anuncian algo nuevo, la expectativa por saber qué habrán
hecho y con qué nos maravillarán esta vez. Admiramos por completo cada una de
las facetas que nos han mostrado a lo largo de su carrera. La dedicación que ponen,
el sentimiento, la sinceridad y por sobre todo la pasión, son fuente de
inspiración para aquellos que nos dedicamos al arte de alguna forma o aspiramos
a seguir el camino de la música también.
Gracias Tet-chan por tu tenacidad
desde el inicio para conseguir los maravillosos músicos que han conformado y
conforman L’Arc en Ciel actualmente, por cada línea de bajo que más de una vez
nos ha hecho sentir adrenalina al escucharlas, por la sonrisa y voz dulce al
cantar, por compartirnos un poco de tu vida privada al contarnos sobre tu
hermosa familia y permitir que celebráramos contigo. Gracias Ken-chan, nuestro
asombroso guitarrista que con cada solo nos transporta a otra dimensión y nos
desconecta del mundo por unos minutos, por cada broma, por cada hermosa canción
compuesta junto a Hyde que nos hace llorar de emoción como cuando cantamos
juntos “My Heart Draws a Dream”. Gracias Yukki por estar firme siempre y seguir
avanzando junto al resto, por la sonrisa cálida y las palabras justas, por la
concentración y empeño al tocar, por ser el primero en hacer que nuestros
corazones se agiten marcando el inicio de cada melodía. Y gracias Hyde, por
acceder ante la petición de Tetsu de ser el vocalista y permitir que con tu voz
sintamos miles de emociones diferentes, por esforzarte siempre, por las
hermosas letras que hacen que cada fan pueda sentirse identificado a su forma,
por tener ese tacto y amabilidad que tanto nos conmueve.
Gracias a los cuatro por ser la
perfecta banda que son, porque para nosotros son perfectos, aunque seguramente
ustedes sientan que tienen defectos. Les agradecemos que a pesar de todo
siempre hayan seguido adelante con la frente en alto, superándose, llegando a
convertirse en los grandes músicos que son y reafirmarlo siempre.
Sin embargo, así como agradecemos
por tanto también debemos pedir disculpas por muchas otras cosas. Por las veces
que hemos fallado como fans haciendo o diciendo cosas que los molestasen e
incluso lastimasen, aquellos que no controlan su fanatismo, los que no han
sabido entender que todo cambia en su debido tiempo. Por todo eso, pedimos
disculpas, aunque sabemos que con solo decir “Perdón” no se arregla el daño
hecho… Esperamos de verdad, que los sentimientos de amor y gratitud predominen
en sus corazones y que los errores que hemos cometido como fans ocupe el menor
espacio en su ser.
Hace pocas horas nos enteramos de la
celebración de su 25 aniversario y la noticia nos mantuvo a todos completamente
exaltados y emocionados porque, como saben, estuvimos expectantes por ello todo
el año. Incluso luego de la noticia muchos de nosotros hemos empezado a hacer
planes para poder viajar a verlos en alguna de esas dos fechas y celebrar junto
a ustedes. Y para aquellos que no podamos viajar, esperamos que en cada fan
extranjero que haya en el público puedan sentir todo nuestro apoyo y cariño. Ahora
nuestra emoción es doble ya que también estaremos esperando por su presentación
en el Music Station, esto nos hace sentir que terminaremos el año de la mejor forma:
con ustedes y su maravillosa música.
En este lado del mundo la
transmisión del Music Station es de madrugada y desvelarnos por ustedes es algo
que disfrutamos, solo verlos esos pocos minutos hace que nuestros corazones
exploten y se mantengan llenos de energía y felicidad por mucho tiempo. Es una
tradición anual y es maravilloso. Muchos de nosotros nos hemos criado
escuchándolos y otros han tenido la oportunidad de conocerlos más adelante, sin
embargo, el sentimiento que nos une es el mismo.
L’Arc~en~Ciel, su música será
transmitida por generaciones, ustedes vivirán por siempre… es el poder del que
solo los grandes como ustedes pueden gozar.
Gracias por cada momento, cada
estrofa, cada melodía, cada sonrisa regalada por sus labios, cada risa salida
de sus gargantas, cada mirada hacia nosotros, por su trabajo y entrega. Por
todo esto y más les deseamos mucha suerte y fuerza para todo lo que viene,
vamos a estar atentos esperando el regreso, conteniendo la emoción hasta
llegado el momento y entonces poder brindarles toda nuestra energía ese día. Por
favor no olviden que tienen el amor y apoyo de todos los fans con ustedes. Y
por último, les damos las gracias por ser quienes son, por llegar a nuestras
vidas y quedarse en nuestros corazones.

Since we were
told that we could send you a letter, our emotions exploded, it was like
“What?! Really?!”
We don’t know
how but at that instant our minds went blank, we always have so much to say to
you but when we knew we could send you these feelings, everything got locked
away, in a chest carved in the most beautiful wood, with the name of the band
and every one of you engraved on it… sounds really corny, right? And it really
is, it’s just that… you make us be this way.
Maybe it’s not
really necessary that you know this, but we decided to put it here, because, it
was really difficult writing this, words didn’t wanna come to us, “How do we
write everything we feel? How do we talk to them? What would be necessary to
say to transmit what we want to?” Thoughts like those came to our minds and the
nerves didn’t help us much. After hours of thinking, of biting our fingernails, and through all
the emotion, this is the result.
We sincerely
expect that through this letter, you can comprehend even a little of our
feelings towards you all.
As fans, we
have experienced a lot of emotions and feelings with you and your songs, these
may not be able to be fully translated to words.
We are fully
grateful for these 25 wonderful years, where you have given us the opportunity
that your songs may accompany us in diverse moments of our lives: happy times,
hard ones, moments of emotion, and even sad moments too. But we don’t want to
thank you only for the music, but for every live, video, interview, and every
photo session… we appreciate every second you dedicate.
Maybe only we,
the fans, may understand this, but when we see you together the emotion and
happiness we feel is immense. And maybe you can see this too, when you watch
the crying eyes of your fans, when you see from the stage how we jump and sing
until being phonic, how we smile from ear to ear. Or maybe you realize
when you read messages of gratitude and the fast answer when reading news about
you, or when you fill every place where you play and hear hundreds of screams,
without stopping, even when you already left the stage.
Once, Hyde said: “L’Arc~en~Ciel is the dream of everyone”
And it absolutely is.
For us, L’Arc en ciel is like a family, and seeing you together
is like feeling that the family is reunited again. We think that the best way
to express our sensation when we hear your songs is the same as being in love; that
tickle in your stomach mixed with nerves every time you announce something new,
the expectation of knowing what you did and with what you will marvel us this
time. We admire every facet you have shown us along your career. The dedication
you put, the feeling, the sincerity, and over everything, the passion, you are
a source of inspiration for those of us who dedicate to art in any way or
aspire to follow the way of the music too.
Tet-chan, thank you for your tenacity from the start to get the
wonderful musicians that have, and are, shaping L’arc en ciel, for every bass
note which more than one time have made us feel adrenaline when we hear them,
for the sweet smile and voice you give us when you sing, for letting us know a
little of your private life, to let us celebrate your beautiful family with
you. Ken-chan, our awesome guitarist, you with your solos, those that when we
hear it, it transports us to another dimension, one where everything is without
worry and all we feel is joy, thank you for every joke, for every beautiful
song composed together with Hyde that makes us cry of emotion, like when we all
sing “My Heart Draws a Dream”. Thank you Yukkie, for always being firm and keep going forward
with the rest, for the warm smiles and the right words, for the concentration
and endeavor when you play, for being the first to make our hearts race marking
the start of every melody. And Hyde, thank you for being the vocalist of this
awesome band, for allowing us to feel a ton of different emotions, for putting
your all into every song, for the beautiful lyrics that make every and each one
of us identified in some way, for having that kindness which always moves us.
Thanks to all four of you, for being the perfect band that you
are, because for us, you are perfect. Thank you, because despite everything you
always went forward with your head held high, overcoming yourselves, getting to
be the great musicians you are.
However, like we thank you, we must apologise too. For the
moment we failed as fans, doing or saying bothering or even hurtful things, for
those which don’t control their fanaticism, the ones that haven’t been able to
understand everything changes. For all that, we apologize. We really hope that
your feelings of love and gratitude predominate over our mistakes as fans, and
that these occupy as less space on your heart as possible.
A few hours ago we received the news about the celebration of
your 25th anniversary, we were completely exited, because as you know, we were
expecting it the whole year. After hearing that, a lot of us started making
plans to be able to attend your concert and celebrate with you. And for those
of us that won’t be able to go, we expect that through every foreign fan that’s
in the public you can feel all of our support and love. Now our emotion is
double, because we will be waiting for your presentation at the Music Station,
this makes us feel like we will have the best end of the year: With you and
your wonderful music.
In this side of the world the transmission of the Music Station
is on the morning and being up all night just for watching you is something we
really enjoy, just watching you those
few minutes makes our hearts explode in happiness. It’s an annual tradition and
it’s wonderful. A lot of us have grown listening to your music, and others have
had the opportunity to know about you later on, but the feeling is all the
same.
L’Arc~en~Ciel, your music will be passed on through
generations, you will live forever… it is the power that only the greatest like
you can enjoy.
Finally, thank you for every moment, every verse, every melody,
every smile you gifted us, every laugh, every look to our eyes, for your work
and you devotion. For all this and more, we wish you the best of luck and
strength for everything that's coming, we will be expecting your comeback,
retaining our emotion until the time comes and then give you all of our energy
on that day. Please don’t forget you have the love and support of all your fans
